What do you think about Demons now?

as many of you know, i'm still inside the borg, but my mind is completely disconnected.
i had a chat with some friends during the week, and they started sharing experiences they had, dealing with demons in the past.. i heard some stories from brothers from cuba, that used to be mediums or "saints", and how the demons "immediately started to attack them when they started learning the truth(tm)".

Mental illnesses and sleep walking explain a lot of demon activity. I don't believe they exist because for every story I hear, there is a logical explanation for it.

Minoan snake goddess, moses with snake on staff

i'm taking a humanities course and one of the things that keeps coming up is the snake god/goddess.
tonight i was reading about the minoan snake goddess and the healing powers that she was suppose to have and it brought up thoughts of moses and the snake around the staff that would cure the israelites if they looked at it.

OK, I should have said that there is a story of a man whose life is replicated in Jesus' life exactly. This story was written 500 years before Jesus lived. Jesus' life is an exact copy of this 500 year old (before Jesus) legend. My friend knows the name. I forgot it.

tonight i was reading about the minoan snake goddess and the healing powers that she was suppose to have and it brought up thoughts of moses and the snake around the staff that would cure the israelites if they looked at it.

I think the whole Bible is based on offshoots of pre-existing cultural beliefs and practices. The supernatural Jesus story was a rewrite of a mythological person that was supposed to have existed 500 years prior to him. The Bible is full of mythology rewritten in disguise and set in real historical places and conditions: Historical fiction. This snake goddess sounds interesting as it compares with Moses' snake god. Turn to a graven image and be healed, indeed! That is a contradiction right there.

I like two Bibles: the New King James Version (no thee's thou's or thy's) and the New International Version. Both are good ones and translated by professionals who actually speak, read, and write those languages and were schooled in those languages and interpretation/translation. They are nice to read.

There must be a lot more life out there than just what we see here because all of those animal souls have to go somewhere and do something. If people's souls do, so do animal souls. It's just that there are swarms of insects, innumerable numbers of them. Churches don't consider that animal souls are like people souls. They say that souls don't die, just the body. If that is true for humans, then what of animals? Hmm? That always bothered me. They ignored animal souls which would complicate things in heaven. If human souls don't really die, neither do animal souls.

If I have a soul, so do the animals and insects and such. That means that they too must reincarnate into higher (if they learned a lesson), stay the same (repeat a lesson), or go remedial. So many insects, so many souls, what to do with all of them??? Merge them along with other personality types of animals and move on up. Think??? After all, where did we get our instincts from in the first place? Must have learned them. Preprogrammed? Only by past experience. Hmmm...

You know that saying "As above, so below?" Well, I've been thinking of how the little insect seems to have little brain power (low IQ or something) but the larger the animal or life form, the smarter it gets. Babies grow this way. As each cell is doubled, it gets smarter and its body grows.
What if "As the physical, so the spiritual?" That means that smaller souls merge into larger souls and so on until they become one soul like cells in a body. The souls (and personality traits) of insects upon death merge with other souls and reincarnate into a bigger and smarter (more whole) soul. I'm thinking that our personalities could be formed from many different smaller souls merging over many lives and ending up ME. It's probably not the end, though. Each insect species seems to have a dominant personality trait, such as a scorpion and wasp. Then there are the work ethic rich ants. Put them together and you get your boss. Well, you get the idea. What do you think? "As physical, so spiritual." Souls must develop in a similar way to how babies develop in the womb. Hmmm...Then would I merge with another person at death? Hmmm...just pondering.

Death is a Terrible thing...
by KW13 inhas it sunk in for you people that your going to die yet?
i'm still avoiding the thought but it lurks in the back of my mind, i'm aware someday i've got to address it - like many here i didnt expect to live this far in this system, so i haven't any plan for life as of yet.. death frightens me.
i cannot sometimes watch a film with death of a character in a tragic way - there one moment with family/friends and a life and then not...i read the story about challenger the rocket that exploded and how the crew onboard that shuttle may well of been aware they were going to die.

I'm actually having fun making plans for what I'm going to do after I die. Of course, the timing must be right. The kids must be grown and independent first, then I can go.
I'm thinking that I would like to come back as a ghost and just watch and learn from others without having to worry about supporting myself with a time consuming job. I wanna be a ghost.
If I reincarnate, I want to be a spirit and learn my next lesson in one of the spiritual realms.
If the above is true (I'm open to possibilities), I'll just continue to evolve through many lives. A beautiful thought, there.
If it's not (might not be true), I will have faced death with a positive attitude and lived my life more aware and fully.
BTW, I don't want a funeral or memorial. No, I want a big party where my life is celebrated in the biggest party of ways! A rock and roll wake sounds nice. I don't want to be bored at my going away party:)
